Elise Clavel is the final Panthers Athlete of the Week of the fall season after leading the women's soccer team to a dramatic playoff win.
Playing in the first round of the NJCAA Region III Tournament, the Panthers trailed 2-0 in the second half at North Country. Clavel got things moving in the right direction for the Panthers when she scored on a free kick midway through the second half. A few minutes later, she scored another goal, tying the score at 2-2 and giving all the momentum to the Panthers. After regulation and two overtime periods ended with the score still knotted at 2-2, the Panthers prevailed in the penalty kick round, advancing to the semifinals of the regional playoffs.
