Panthers Volleyball Season Comes to A Close

The Tompkins Cortland volleyball season came to a close on Saturday with the Panthers taking part in the Region III Pod hosted by Genesee Community College. The Panthers took part in three matches, dropping each in straight sets. The Panthers end the year with a record of 3-18.

The Panthers opened the day against Monroe Community College, losing to the Tribunes 25-8, 25-9, 25-13. Finger Lakes Community College was next, with the Lakers winning 25-21, 25-18, 25-18. The final match of the day, and the season, came against Genesee with the Cougars winning 26-24, 25-11, 25-17.

Kadija Hill-Custis (Syracuse/Fowler H.S.) led the team with 12 kills, 9 digs, and 2 aces and Molly Baker (Newark Valley/Newark Valley H.S.) had 20 digs, 9 kills, 8 blocks, and 3 aces. Natasha Feocco (Dryden/Newfield H.S.) finished with 30 assists and 15 digs and Madison Hartenstein (Newark Valley/Newark Valley H.S.) and Jasmine Agee (Bronx/Evander Childs H.S.) each had 9 digs. Sierra Stauber (McGraw/McGraw H.S.) added 6 kills and 3 blocks.
