MSAC Coach of the Year - 2015, 2017

Coach Rice has led the Panthers for six seasons, and directed the team to the best season in program history in 2015. Tompkins Cortland has made the NJCAA playoffs five times during Rice's tenure, and has made the semifinals three times and advanced to the Region III championship game in 2015. His 2015 team went undefeated in the MSAC, winning the program's second conference title.

Rice took over as head coach for the 2012 season after serving as the women's assistant for two years and men's assistant for four years. On the women's side alone he has coached 29 All-MSAC players, 19 All-Region III players, 5 NSCAA All-Americans, and 2 NJCAA All-Americans. Combined with his time with the men's program he has been on the sidelines for over 100 wins for the Panthers, including 53 during his six years as head coach.

Coach Rice played soccer at Herkimer County Community College before receiving his bachelor's degree from Cortland State.
