Playing at Jefferson Community College on Wednesday, the Tompkins Cortland Community College women's soccer team came short, falling to the Cannoneers 5-1. The Panthers fall to 0-6 overall and 0-2 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Jefferson is now 2-6 overall and 1-4 in the MSAC.
For the first time this year, the Panthers held a lead. El Ree Paw (Ithaca/Ithaca H.S.) put the Panthers in front with a goal in the 25th minute of play, scoring off an assist from Elizabeth Smith (Newfield/Twin Tiers Christian Academy). Jefferson responded with a trio of goals over the final 20 minutes of the half and then tacked on a pair in the second half to seal the win.

The Panthers play at Finger Lakes Community College on Friday.
