In a season marked by postponements and cancellations, the Tompkins Cortland Community College women's soccer team went on the road for the first time on Saturday. Playing at Fulton-Montgomery Community College, the Panthers lost 3-1 to fall to 0-4 on the season. Fulton-Montgomery is now 3-6.

After squaring off against nationally ranked teams the last two times out, and then having a scheduled game during the week cancelled due to travel problems, the Panthers were happy to get back on the field. After the Raiders scored first, the Panthers tied the game on a goal by Aliana Hart (Fort Covington/Salmon River H.S.), the first of her career. Leah Williams (Owego/Newark Valley H.S.) picked up the assist as the teams went into halftime tied at 1-1. The home team eventually wore down the Panthers with two goals in the second the seal the win.

Looking ahead

The Panthers play at Jefferson Community College on Wednesday.
