#3-Ranked Mohawk Valley Too Much for Panthers Women

Facing off against one of the top teams in the nation is a tall task under the best of circumstances. Doing so with a roster shortened due to injuries makes it an impossible task, and that's what the Tompkins Cortland Community College women's soccer faced on Thursday. The Panthers hosted the #3-ranked team in the nation and the result was a 14-0 win for Mohawk Valley Community College. The Panthers are now 0-2 while the Hawks move to 3-0.

The Hawks controlled the game from the opening whistle, putting four on the board in the first 15 minutes and nine goals in the first half. With the Panthers playing with just ten players in the second half, Mohawk Valley showed great sportsmanship by taking their foot off the gas and scoring just five more goals.

Looking ahead

The Panthers will have almost a week to get healthy before their next game at Jamestown Community College on Wednesday.
