Panthers Shut Out at Genesee

For the fifth time this season, the Tompkins Cortland Community College women's soccer team could not find the net on the offensive end of the field, falling 3-0 Tuesday at #7-ranked Genesee Community College. The Panthers are now 1-5-2 overall and 1-5-1 in Region III. Genesee improves to 9-1 overall and 6-0 in region.

The Panthers kept the Cougars off the board during the first half, with Katie Slocum (Candor/Candor H.S.) making five saves before halftime to keep the game tied. Genesee broke through in first minute of the second half, eventually scoring three despite another strong effort from Slocum, who finished the game with 13 saves.

Tompkins Cortland is off until Wednesday, October 3 when the Panthers host Corning Community College for a 5:30 p.m. game.
