Women's Soccer Falls to Another Nationally Ranked Team

Playing a team ranked among the top teams in the nation for the second straight game, the Tompkins Cortland Community College women's soccer team suffered its second straight shutout loss, this time falling 5-0 at #4-ranked Erie Community College Saturday. The Panthers are now 1-3-2 overall and 1-3-1 in Region III. Erie is 7-0 overall and 5-0 in region.

Erie scored twice midway through the first half, and then sealed the win with two goals early in the second half. The final score came late in the game, sealing the result.

Tompkins Cortland was outshot 17-2, with goalkeeper Katie Slocum (Candor/Candor H.S.) recording 12 saves.

Tompkins Cortland is back home Saturday, hosting Onondaga Community College at noon.
