Eight Panthers Honored with Academic All-Region Designation

Eight Tompkins Cortland Community College student-athletes have been recognized as Academic All-Region by Region III of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). Bridger Carreau (Marietta, Ga./Lassiter H.S.), Nicole Deselets (Cherry Valley/Cherry Valley H.S.), Sage Garrison (Odessa/Odessa-Montour H.S.), Amanda Green (Lansing/Lansing H.S.), Austin Kulas (Moravia/Moravia),  Cecelia Swan (Cassadaga Valley/Cassadaga Valley H.S.), Ridge Walker (Moravia/Moravia), and Kaylie Yerdon (Cherry Valley/Cherry Valley) were recognized for their excellence in the classroom.

Each of the eight honorees had a G.P.A. over 3.5, with Yerdon posting a perfect 4.0. Yerdon was one of four members of the Panthers women's soccer team honored, joining Deselets, Garrison, and Swan.  Kulas and Walker were both members of the baseball team while Carreau played lacrosse. Green was a two-sport athlete, playing both volleyball and softball.
