A game-winning goal in double-overtime by Serina Guilianti (Harrison H.S./Harrison) made a winner of the Tompkins Cortland Community College women's soccer team over Jamestown Community College Sunday. The win improves the Panthers to 7-3 overall and 6-3 in Region III. Jamestown is now 7-5 overall and 5-5 in the region.

Guilianti's winning score capped a dynamite day for the freshman. She started the day with a goal in the sixth minute of play, converting a pass from Angela Martone (Candor H.S./Candor) into an early 1-0 lead. After Jamestown answered ten minutes later, Guilianti put the Panthers back in front with a header off a pass from Makayla Foster (Hunter-Tannersville H.S./Hunter) in the 37th minute of the game.

The 2-1 lead held into the half-time break, but midway through the second half, the score was tied again, this time on an own goal. Regulation ended with the score 2-2, and the teams played even through the first overtime. Guilianti completed her hat trick with the game-winner off an assist from Sage Garrison (Odessa-Montour H.S./Odessa) with 7:49 left in the second extra frame.

The hat trick is the second in two games for the Panthers, with Justice Pahlmann (Tioga H.S./Tioga Central) accomplishing the feat against SUNY Adirondack on Wednesday. Prior to Wednesday, it had been nearly three years since the Panthers had a three-goal performance by an individual.

Kassie Murdock (Stillwater H.S./Stillwater) and Katie Slocum (Candor H.S./Candor) split time in goal, with Murdock starting and recording nine saves and allowing two goals over 73 minutes of action. Slocum came on in relief and had five saves without allowing a goal.

Next up for the Panthers is a Mid-State Athletic Conference game at Corning Community College Wednesday.
