A hat trick by freshman Justice Pahlmann (Tioga H.S./Tioga Center) helped the Tompkins Cortland Community College women's soccer team snap a three-game drought Wednesday with a 4-0 win over SUNY Adirondack. Tompkins Cortland is now 6-3 overall and 5-3 in Region III. Adirondack is now 3-6-1 overall and 2-6-1 in the region.

All the scoring came in the second half as the Panthers spent the first 45 minutes of play knocking on the door but failing to put one in. The breakthrough came early in the second, with Pahlmann punching one in during the fifth minute of the half. The second score came two minutes later, with Makayla Foster (Hunter-Tannersville H.S./Hunter) doing the honors.

Pahlmann's second goal came with 10:27 left, and she capped her hat trick by converting a pass from April Dunn (Odessa-Montour H.S./Alpine) for her third goal with 7:34 left. Pahlmann became the first Panther women's soccer player to record a hat trick since Devin Blanchard did so against Corning Community College on October 8, 2014.

Kassie Murdock (Stillwater H.S./Stillwater) earned her third win of the year while posting her second shutout. The sophomore had four saves while dropping her goals against average to an even 1.00.

The Panthers next play Sunday at Jamestown Community College.
