A big afternoon from freshman Sage Garrison (Odessa-Montour H.S./Odessa) led the Tompkins Cortland Community College women's soccer team to its fourth straight win, a 3-0 decision over North Country Community College Sunday. The victory leaves the Panthers with a record of 4-0 overall and 3-0 in Region III; North Country is now 1-3-1 overall and 1-2 in the region.

The home team enjoyed the better of play from the opening touch, but it took until the 18th minute before everything clicked. Garrison broke the ice with a goal with 27:18 left in the first half, and then just 96 seconds later, she assisted classmate Justice Pahlmann (Tioga H.S./Tioga Center) on a goal, making it 2-0. Garrison capped a big first half with a goal with 8.4 seconds left on the clock, scoring off an assist from Kelsey Clark (Homer H.S./Homer) putting the Panthers firmly in control heading into the break.

When neither team scored in the second half, the Panthers had a fourth straight win and a second straight shutout. Goalkeeper Katie Slocum (Candor H.S./Candor) had four saves as the Panthers posted back-to-back shutouts for the first time since a string of three straight blankings in 2015.

The Panthers host Niagara County Community College Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
