Panthers Roll to Road Win at Finger Lakes

The Panthers women's basketball team improved to 4-2 on the season with a 68-27 win at Finger Lakes Community College on Tuesday. Finger Lakes drops to 4-5.

Tompkins Cortland controlled the game from the opening tip. The Panthers jumped out to a 22-7 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Along the way, the Panthers set a new school record for rebounds, dominating the Lakers on the glass to the tune of 86-to-27.

Despite playing just 18 minutes, Amarionah Dixon (Elmira/Elmira H.S.) had another double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds. Tahmeya King (St. Petersburg, Fla./Northeast H.S.) also posted a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Amyra Portillos (Sandia Park, N.M./Manzano H.S.) finished with 14 points and Thalia Jackson (Glendale, Ariz./Raymond S. Kellis H.S.) finished with 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Jasmine Graham (Berkshire/Newark Valley H.S.) added 8 points and 8 rebounds.
