Panthers Women Make It Three Straight Wins

The Panthers women's basketball team made it three straight wins with a 62-30 victory over Genesee Community College on Saturday. Tompkins Cortland Community College is now 3-1 overall and in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Genesee drops to 0-3 overall and in the MSAC.

After a sluggish first quarter, the Panthers controlled action. After playing to a 10-10 tie over the first ten minutes, the home team outscored Genesee 17-5 in the second quarter to take a 27-15 lead into the half. The Panthers outscored the Cougars by ten points in each of the third and fourth quarters to make the final margin 62-30.

Nine players got into the scoring column for the Panthers, led by Promise Myers (Binghamton/Binghamton H.S.) with 16 points. Thalia Jackson (Glendale, Ariz./Raymond S. Kellis H.S.) tossed in 12 points and Meadow Fann (Binghamton/Binghamton) netted 10 points. Amarionah Dixon (Elmira/Elmira H.S.) just missed another double-double with 14 rebounds and 9 points.

Looking ahead

The Panthers have a ten-day break before hosting Jefferson Community College on Tuesday, November 28.
