Panthers Women top Cayuga for First Win

Freshman Meadow Fann (Binghamton/Binghamton H.S.) scored 24 points to lead the Tompkins Cortland Community College women's basketball team to a 62-44 win over Cayuga Community College on Saturday, The road win improves the Panthers to 1-1 on the season; Cayuga falls to 0-3.

Fan poured in 14 points in the first half, helping the Panthers jump to a 33-14 lead. The lead peaked at 22 points in the third quarter as the Panthers cruised to the first win of the season.

Fann finished with 24 points, in large part due to making 5-of-7 from 3-point range. Sophomore Amarionah Dixon (Elmira/Elmira H.S.) tossed in 10 points and Tatyanna George (Ithaca/Ithaca H.S.) pulled down 11 rebounds for the winners.

Looking ahead

The Panthers host Corning Community College on Thursday.
