Road Loss for Panthers Women

The Tompkins Cortland women's basketball team struggled on Saturday, falling at Mohawk Valley Community College, 86-58. Tompkins Cortland is now 2-4 overall and 1-4 in Region III. Mohawk Valley is 5-1 overall and in region.

For the second straight game, Ashley Shortsleeve (Cortland/Cortland H.S.) led the Panthers in scoring, this time pouring in 16 points, including a dozen on four three-pointers. K'Anndra Rhoden (Brentwood/Brentwood H.S.) had 14 points, 8 rebounds, 6 steals, and 4 assists. Shantasia Jeffrey (Harlem/Curtis H.S.) added 13 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 steals.

After a break for Thanksgiving, the Panthers return to action Monday, December 2 at home against Hudson Valley Community College.
