The legend of Tompkins Cortland Community College sophomore Jaida Washington (Elmira/Elmira H.S.) continues to grow. After plastering her name throughout the record books during her two seasons on the court, Washington is continuing to pile up postseason honors. Just days after becoming the first player in the history of Panthers women's basketball to become a two-time all-conference selection, Washington has added two more firsts. Washington was voted to the All-Region III First Team, becoming the first player in program history to be named to the first team. It is also Washington's second year on any all-region team, making her the first player in program history to be a two-time all-region selection. Voting for all-region honors was done by coaches from the 16 teams in Region III.

This season capped one the most decorated careers in any sport in Panther history. Washington scored 420 points and averaged 16.2 per game, the third and fourth best, respectively, in program history. Her 360 rebounds and 161 blocks were the most in a season, breaking records she had set as a freshman. After posting five this season, she now owns eight of the top ten single-game blocked shot totals ever for a Panther. All combined, her name appears in the top ten in 12 different statistical categories in the Panthers record book. Washington owns the top spot in seven of those categories.

As was the case with her repeat all-conference selection, Washington's repeat all-region selection can never be topped; it can only be matched, assuring her a well-earned permanent place in Panther history.
