The Tompkins Cortland softball offense was firing on all cylinders Tuesday as the Panthers ended the season with a doubleheader split with Erie Community College. The Panthers Panthers end the seasons with an overall record of 6-16 and a Region 3 record, which includes forfeits, of 9-15.

Game One: Erie 14, Tompkins Cortland 12

The defense may not have been stellar for the Panthers, but the hitting kept the Panthers in the game. Gabby Foley (Barton/Tioga H.S.) once again led the way, going 4-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and three runs scored. Kiara Grover (Scio/Scio H.S.) had three knocks for the Panthers and Andrea Medovich (Kirkwood/Windsor H.S.), Austyn Vance (Nichols/Tioga H.S.), Lana Thousand (Onondaga/Onondaga H.S.), Zoie Burke (Lansing/Lansing H.S.), and Elizabeth Cobb (Cortland/Cortland Christian Academy) each had two hits in the opener.

Game Two: Tompkins Cortland 16, Erie 13

The bats stayed hot in game two, and starting pitcher Burke took advantage, throwing all seven innings for the win.

Abby Foley (Barton/Tioga H.S.) was the star of game two, going 5-for-5 and scoring three runs. Gaby Foley completed her big day with four more hits, putting both sisters over 50 for their careers.

Grover and Thousand each also had four hits and Medovich picked up three hits. Cobb and Vance added a pair of hits each.
