For the first time in the history of the program, Tompkins Cortland Community College cross country took part in the national championship. Three men raced in the NJCAA Division III National Championship Saturday at Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, Georgia.

Elliott Holland (Watkins Glen/Watkins Glen H.S.), Elijah Griep (Groton/Groton H.S.), and Dowain Geesey (Lansing/Lansing H.S.) were the history-makers, toeing the line for the Panthers. Holland had the distinction of being the first Panther to cross the finish line at nationals, covering the 8K course with a time of 33:55, good for 113th out of 140 runners. Griep was ten places later with a time of 35:48, just ahead of teammate Geesey at 35:50.
