A goal in the 86th minute of play was the only score of the game Saturday as Erie Community College handed the Tompkins Cortland Community College men's soccer team a 1-0 loss. The loss drops the Panthers to 1-3. Erie improves to 3-1.

The Panthers did have good chances in both halves, but the visiting Kats enjoyed an advantage in opportunities throughout the game. Despite the opportunities, the score remained 0-0 because the Tompkins Cortland defense, led by John Rogers (Lansing/Lansing H.S.) and Ethan Buckley (Bath/Bath-Haverling H.S.) and anchored in goal by Dylon Conklin (Moravia/Southern Cayuga H.S.), had a stellar game. Conklin posted eight saves before Erie finally broke through with the game-winner with 4:10 left in regulation.

The Panthers next play at Onondaga Community College on Saturday.
