The new season got off to a sluggish start for the Tompkins Cortland Community College men's soccer team as the Panther lost 4-1 on the road to Clinton Community College on Saturday. It was Clinton's first win in three games this year.

Playing at SUNY Plattsburgh, Clinton jumped ahead with a goal in the 15st minute and then made it 2-0 in the 28th minute. The scored moved to 3-0 in the 13th minute of the second half, but the Panthers got on the board midway through the half. With 16:30 left to play, Jonnathan Camas (Spring Valley/Spring Valley H.S.) beat the Clinton keeper, scoring off an assist from Jonathan Marchello (Lake George/Lake George H.S.). The last goal came with just over a minute left to play, making the final score 4-1.

Dylon Conklin (Moravia/Southern Cayuga H.S.) played in goal for the Panthers, recording ten saves.

Tompkins Cortland plays at North Country Community College Sunday.
