The Tompkins Cortland Community College men's soccer team opened its season-ending six game home stand with a 5-0 win over Jamestown Community College Saturday.  Tompkins Cortland's record is now 4-6 overall and 3-6 in Region III. Jamestown is 0-8-3 overall and 0-6-1 in region.

All four of the Panthers wins have come at home, and in each game the Panthers scored first. That trend continues Saturday when Hugo Sauriat (New York City/Frank McCourt H.S.) scored on off a perfect cross from Marc Harris (Homer/Homer H.S.) in the 10th minute of play. Despite controlling the ball most of the rest of the half, the score held at 1-0 heading into intermission.

The Panthers continued to control play in the second half, but this time they capitalized on more of the chances. Greg Depue (Newfield/Twin Tier Christian Academy) started the scoring in the eighth minute of the half, and Sauriat made it 3-0 just three minutes later. Marton Tozser (Homer/Homer H.S.) got in on the scoring with a goal off an assist from Nate Moon (Treadwell/Delaware Academy) with 22:36 left in the half to make it 4-0, and 43 seconds later, Sauriat completed his hat trick with a goal off an assist from Depue.

Sean McDaniel (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) earned the win with two save while posting the first shutout of the year.

Next up for the Panthers will be a 3 p.m. game on Wednesday against Corning Community College.
