The Tompkins Cortland Community College men's soccer team snapped its three-game losing streak Wednesday with a 2-1 win over Fulton-Montgomery Community College. The win, the first for the Panthers in three weeks, improves Tompkins Cortland's record to 3-4 overall and 2-4 in Region III. Fulton-Montgomery drops to 4-4-1 overall and in region.

After failing to score in each of the last two games, the Panthers came out with a purpose. The first goal came in the seventh minute of play, when Hugo Sauriat (New York City/Frank McCourt H.S.) played a perfect pass to Kemar Tyndale (Bloomfield, Conn./Plainville H.S.) for the score. The 1-0 lead held until the early moments of the second half, when the Raiders tied the score in the 50th minute of the game. Sauriat found the net for the game-winning goal in the 75th minute, scoring off an assist by Noah McPherson (Hartford, Conn./Bulkeley H.S.).

Sean McDaniel (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) earned the win in goal with three saves.

Tompkins Cortland is back at it Saturday with a home game with Onondaga Community College. The men are scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m.
