Panthers Win Streak Snapped at Four

 

After four straight wins, the Tompkins Cortland Community College men's soccer team saw its run come to an end Saturday. Playing host to #9-ranked Genesee Community College, the Panthers lost 4-0. The loss leaves Tompkins Cortland at 4-2 overall and 4-1 in Region III; Genesee is now 3-2 overall and 2-0 in region.

The visiting Cougars scored twice in each half while holding the Panthers scoreless for the first time since the season opener last month.

Jack English (Charles O. Dickerson H.S./Trumansburg) and Sean McDaniel (Dryden H.S./Dryden) each played 45 minutes in goal, with each recording four saves.

Next up for the Panthers is a Saturday home game against Erie Community College. The men's game kicks off at 1 p.m.
