
The Panthers closed out the lacrosse regular season with a 23-7 win over Finger Lakes Community College. The home win leaves the Panthers with a record of 4-5 overall, 4-3 in Region 3, and 2-2 in the Mid-State Athletic Conference. Finger Lakes drops to 0-8 overall, 0-7 in Region 3, and 0-4 in the MSAC.
The Panthers scored the first seven goals and never were threatened the rest of the way. Odanell Gonzalez (Queens/Jamaica H.S.) had a career-night, scoring eight points on six goals and two assists. Brayden Kitterle (Syracuse/Bishop Ludden H.S.) and Dillon Farrell (Endicott/Union-Endicott H.S.) each had three goals and three assists and Kenyen Lovett (Rochester/West Irondequoit H.S.), Thomas Kirnie (Victor/Newark H.S.), Dwain Frazier (Jamaica/Jamaica H.S.), and Skylar Running Rabbit (Siksika Nation, Alberta/Strathmore H.S.) each had two goals in the win.
Declan Vail (Cortland/Cortland H.S.) had 17 saves to record the win in goal.
Looking ahead
The Panthers await a bid to the NJCAA Region 3 playoffs, which start April 26.
