Sophomore Daniel Lapp (Trumansburg/Charles O. Dickerson H.S.) moved up one place on the final day of the NJCAA Region III Tournament, finishing in second place with a two-day score of 158 (80-78), two strokes behind the regional champion, Bob Davenport of Mohawk Valley Community College.  As a team, the Panthers also moved up one place, finishing in seventh place with a score of 763 (382-381). SUNY Adirondack won the event with a score of 667 (334-333).

Lapp's finish represents the best regional result for an individual Panther since Kris Boyes won the title in 2008. It also qualifies Lapp for the NJCAA Division III National Championship tournament June 5-8 in Chautauqua.

The rest of the Tompkins Cortland team had a rough go on the par-72 Timber Banks Golf Course in Baldwinsville. Tyler Clark (Odessa-Montour H.S./Odessa) finished the two days with a score of 198 (102-96). Jake Woods (Cortland/Cortland H.S.) was next at 202 (101-101) followed by Sean McDaniel (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) at 205 (99-106).
