With the spring being so wet and cold, many Region III golf teams have been hard-pressed to get in many rounds of competition. With the scheduled tournament in Watertown postponed a week to allow the course to recover from the protracted winter, the Tompkins Cortland Community College golf team invited Jefferson Community College to come to Elm Tree Golf Course in Cortland Sunday and take advantage of what has been a rarity this spring – beautiful weather. The result was a two-team mini event that gave both squads quality time on the links. At the end of the day, the Panthers had a team score of 315 while the Cannoneers had a 316.

Daniel Lapp (Trumansburg/Charles O. Dickerson H.S.) led all scorers with a 2-under par 68. Tyler Clark (Odessa-Montour H.S./Odessa) finished at 76 with Sean McDaniel (Dryden/Dryden H.S.) next at 82. Alex Sanford (Cortland/Cortland H.S.) finished at 89 and William Stouffer (Candor/Candor H.S.) carded a 91.
