Ashley Shortsleeve is the Panthers Athlete of the Week after finding the range from behind the arc in a performance that nearly set a new school record.
The freshman from Cortland has been heating up from 3-point range, settling into her role as the top deep threat for the Panthers. After back-to-back games of making four 3-pointers, Ashley was on fire against Finger Lakes on December 4. She started by making three 3-pointers in the first quarter and another two in the second. Her sixth deep ball of the game came in the second half, helping securing the win for the Panthers. In the semester finale against North Country, she added another two 3-pointers, making it five-straight games that she has connected on multiple 3-pointers.
