The first hat trick of the year has earned a freshman soccer player the Panthers Athlete of the Week award.
Hugo Sauriat (New York City/Frank McCourt H.S.) increased his team-leading goals total by three on Saturday, notching both the first hat trick of both his college career and the team's first in 2018. Playing at home on Saturday against Jamestown, Sauriat netted what would prove to be the game-winner just 10 minutes into the contest. His second score came early in the second half, and his third came with just over 20 minutes left in the game.
On the season he now has 7 goals and 15 points, both more than twice the total of the next closest Panther.
