The men's basketball team's leading scorer is the Panthers Athlete of the Week of the winter season. In addition scoring, Omari Lane (Newburgh/Newburgh Free Academy) had a big week at both ends of the floor.
After scoring a team-high 16 points in the game against Herkimer, Lane became the first Panther in three years to top 30 points in a game, going for 31 in Sunday's overtime win at Clinton. In that game he also recorded a team-best 7 steals, pulled down 7 rebounds, and handed out 2 assists. He leads the team with a season average of 15 points per game and 3 steals per game.
