Tossing the first no-hitter in program history has earned Ethan Buckley (Bath/Haverling H.S.) this week's Panthers Athlete of the Week award.
Buckley made history on Wednesday in game one of a doubleheader with Jefferson Community College. Playing on the new turf at Gutchess Park, the freshman dominated the Cannoneers from the first inning. He struck out ten in the five-inning game and didn't allow a ball out of the infield. Only a pair of infield errors and four walks let runners on base, but Buckley was able to answer any challenge, closing the game by recording seven of the last eight outs via the strike out.
